Now Playing: ‘We hae meat’ Karaoke

Over the past couple of months, you’ve answered our call to join our musical mischief for ‘We hae meat’ Karaoke.  We asked you to place our products into song lyrics.

Needless to say, you didn’t let us down! Hilarious, witty and slightly hunger-inducing, your karaoke-pun game was unrivalled.

Our aim remains to provide Scotland with the best quality products possible, and that’s why we wholeheartedly encourage YOU – our Steak Slice and Pie munchers – to get in touch and give us your feedback!

Waste not, want not — beef up your family recipes with leftovers

CarlynZeroWasteHere at ‘We hae meat’, we believe food belongs in bellies rather than bin bags – not just because our products are so delicious, but because reducing food waste can help you save money!

Recent figures show that the average Scottish household could save up to £460 per year by reducing their food waste. Beef alone accounts for 2,900 tonnes of waste per year. That’s the equivalent of 26 million burgers going straight into the wheelie bin!

To give you and your families a way to get the most out of all the food you buy and your leftovers, our very own Carlyn has teamed up with Zero Waste Scotland to share delicious family meals straight from the Paton family recipe book!

To a hoose – ‘We hae meat’ and Robert Burns

Screen Shot 2016-01-22 at 17.24.11

As the 25th of January approaches and Scottish conversation turns to haggis, Burns poetry and wee drams, we’re telling the story of our own very special links to the Bard of Ayrshire.

Firstly, did you know that we took inspiration for our name from Burns ‘Selkirk Grace’?

Some hae meat and canna eat,

And some wad eat that want it,

But we hae meat and we can eat,

Sae let the Lord be thankit.

Make sure you have it memorised before sitting down at your Burns Supper!

With the end of the year just a stone’s throw away, we’re getting rather reflective here at Cairnhill Farm. It’s been a fantastic year for us, sharing delicious food from our family farm to your family table right across Scotland.

So what were the greatest hits of 2015 here at ‘We hae meat’?

singleporttionpies‘The Pie’s the limit’
2015 launched with the creation of our Single Portion Pies which saw the traditional scotch pie get something of a modern make over; inspired by yummy contemporary fillings like pulled pork and BBQ pulled beef.

Our pies were hailed ‘revolutionary’ by the press and you love them so much we’ve been making them non-stop ever since!
